Read-only, and yours

Your MYOB file stays exactly as it is. The sync reads and takes a copy. Posting an invoice back is a separate, deliberate action you take.
The database lives on your computer, in a folder you choose. Stop subscribing and the data stays right where it is, still readable by anything.
You sign in on MYOB's own screen, so your password stays between you and MYOB — and you can withdraw access from inside MYOB whenever you like.
Lock a company file if you want to — optional password encryption, per company file, your choice.
