How it works
Four steps to set up. Then four ways to use it, and it looks after itself.
Four easy steps
Connect to MYOB — unlimited companies
Sign in on MYOB's own screen and approve access, once per company file. Add as many as you look after. Your password stays between you and MYOB, and access is governed by MYOB scopes — MYOB's own way of saying what a connection may reach. Give one person the whole file and another only the part they work on, decided in MYOB and honoured here.
Choose what to sync — a profile
Tick the parts of MYOB you actually use and give it a name. That is a profile: sales, or the ledger, or everything. Take only what you need and the runs stay quick.
Choose when to sync — a schedule
Which days, what time, how often. That is a schedule, and it runs your profile unattended — catching up by itself if the PC was switched off.
Put it to work
On this PC, or shared from a central one for the whole office. Ask it questions, open a ProActive UI screen, or point Excel at it.
It installs in a couple of minutes and creates one database file per company. Everything runs on the one PC you already have — it is a desktop program, and it stays that way.
One — on a schedule
Profiles and schedules
Two words worth two minutes, because together they are the whole of the automatic part.
A profile is what
Which parts of MYOB to fetch — invoices, purchases, the general ledger, contacts, products. Tick them once and give it a name.
A schedule is when
Which days, what time, how often to repeat. Point it at a profile and leave it running.
Put one with the other and you have described a job in a sentence:
Sync invoices and payments, weekdays, from 7am, every fifteen minutes until six.
Most people set up two and stop thinking about it — a quick top-up through the day that asks MYOB only for what changed, and a fuller rebuild overnight so the copy stays exactly in step.
You can have ten of each, so the things that change hourly and the things that change monthly need not travel at the same speed. One installation looks after as many company files as you have.

When you want this minute's figures, anything on that PC can ask the Connector to fetch them there and then — calling any profile you have set up, so the run does exactly the job you already decided it should.
Your own applications
Refresh first, then run.
Name the profile, name the company, and wait for it to finish before starting work. One of our client applications does exactly that every time it runs, so it is always working on today's figures.
Claude Code
“Refresh, then show me today's sales.”
On a paid plan Claude Code can run any of your profiles for you, so a fresh sync and the question that follows it are a single instruction.
Three — local or central
Keep it on one PC, or put it in the middle
The database is one ordinary SQLite file. Where you put it decides who can read it.
Local
One PC, and that is the whole of it.
The Connector syncs and the same machine reads. Right for one person, a laptop, or trying it out.
Central
One copy the whole office reads.
Put the Connector on the machine that is always on and share its folder with read access. The sync stays there, where the MYOB connection lives, and everyone else simply reads.
Anything that can reach that folder and read a SQLite file can use your data:
- Other PCs running the ProActive UI screens — with no Connector, no MYOB credentials and no licence of their own.
- Excel and Power BI on anybody's desk, refreshing from the same figures.
- Dashboards and your own applications, however they were written, on whatever they run on.
Read access is genuinely all they need, which is what makes it safe to hand out widely — and it means everyone in the building is answering from the same numbers.

Excel and Power BI, connected live
Your data is a standard database file, so ordinary tools connect straight to it — a live connection that refreshes itself.

Build it once, press refresh after that.
The workbook reads your live data, so last month's spreadsheet becomes this month's with one click.
Power BI and anything else
It is an ordinary database.
Power BI, Access, or your own software — if it reads a database, it reads this one.
